matchbooks.

Matchbooks. You don't see them much anymore, but my family used to collect them.

They make a cool way to see some different places you've been...

Some different restaurants where you've eaten...

like The Treasure Ship in Panama City-- this famous landmark restaurant burnt down about two weeks ago.... sad to see it go.

And Hemingway's -- this place is still around.

Gino's - some of the best pizza in Chicago.

Spats, in Nashville, has been closed for years.

And last, but not least! A little matchbox wisdom never goes wrong.

  1. I like this. :) Favorite is Spats. ALSO! I'm thinking about doing wedding matchbooks. What do you even think about that?

  2. I loved Gino's when I went there last summer! Yum! Also, matchbooks are pretty spiffy.

  3. Thanks for posting your matchbooks. Sorry to hear the Treasure Ship burned down. Had dinner there a number of years ago. Because it had a nice matchbox, still remember a great breakfast at a place called the Hearty House not too far from the Treasure Ship. When you come across new ones, let me know and I will list them on my site, www.matchbooktraveler.com. Just trying to help people find places that still have matchbooks with their names.
